Welcome to the vibrant streets of Cartagena! After settling into your hotel, we'll kick off the adventure with a rooftop dinner at Rum Box, where you’ll enjoy a unique dinner complete with Rum and chocolate pairing, along with a speciality cocktail! Afterward, join us for an optional night out to explore the lively bars and salsa hotspots. Let’s get to know each other while enjoying Cartagena's vibrant nightlife!

Wake up to a fresh breakfast before we set sail for the stunning Rosario Islands! Spend the day exploring crystal-clear waters, snorkeling, or simply relaxing on the beach. In the evening, join us for dinner back at Casa Del Tunel, and if you’re up for more, head out to Mirador Gastro Bar for some late-night fun.

After breakfast, we’ll hit the road for a scenic shuttle ride to the colorful city of Santa Marta. Arriving mid-afternoon, you’ll have some free time to explore or relax at the hotel. In the evening, we’ll gather for a delightful Mediterranean dinner at Ouzo Santa Marta.

The adventure amps up with a motorcycle ride along the coast! After breakfast, we’ll hop on our bikes for an unforgettable journey through the lush landscapes of Colombia’s northern coast, stopping for a hike to the beautiful Pazo Encantada waterfall. After lunch in Palomino, we’ll arrive at our beachside accommodation in Costeño, where you can kick back, relax, and enjoy the sunset with dinner on the beach.

Today, we continue our motorcycle adventure, stopping for a refreshing swim at Quebrada Valencia, one of Colombia’s hidden gems. After some downtime, we’ll wrap up the day with a group dinner at one of Santa Marta’s best local spots.

After a leisurely breakfast in Santa Marta, we’ll begin our journey back to Cartagena. Arriving in the afternoon, you’ll have time to unwind before we gather for our final group dinner at a surprise location, celebrating the incredible adventure we’ve shared.

Our tour price covers 13 delicious meals, all the exciting activities listed, and your cozy accommodations along the way. However, flights and travel insurance (a must-have) aren’t included—so don’t forget to pack that peace of mind!

We’ll send you a welcome brochure packed with details, including a full itinerary, a packing list, and information about the places you'll visit. Plus, we'll provide daily updates on what to bring for each day's activities to keep your time in Colombia stress-free!

No worries if you don’t know how to ride! Our trip includes Honda Navis, automatic motorcycles that handle like scooters. If you're not comfortable driving, we've got you covered—just hop on the back of one of our experienced riders and enjoy the ride up and down the coast and through the jungle!

While you don't need to know how to speak Spanish, we encourage learning a few key phrases for you to brush up on beforehand! These phrases will be included in our welcome brochure that will be sent out upon booking!

We're here to make your trip as stress-free as can be! We'll work with our partners to pick you up from the airport without waiting long no matter what time you arrive.

In short - yes. We require all Globetrotters to purchase travel insurance before joining us on our tour. If you're not sure where to start, our preferred travel insurance partner is Visitor’s Coverage and we couldn’t recommend them more!

While tips for included meals, transportation and activities have been factored into the tour price, we do have a quick guide on what to tip for anything not included as well as our guides:
You can expect to tip the standard 10-20% of most meals at restaurants. For any tipping that you are unsure of, your tour leaders can guide you in the right direction.
Our guides have worked diligently to see that your experience goes as smoothly as possible while providing consistent customer service. $10 - $20 USD per day, per GTS guide is a great foundation when tipping the Globetrotters Tour Crew.

Jonathan is a travel enthusiast of Nicaraguan descent. Originally from Los Angeles, California. He moved at the age of 17 to Northern California to attend the University of California, Berkeley.
In his youth, he seldom traveled. It wasn’t until he joined a mariachi band at the age of 9 that he got a few opportunities to travel locally – mainly the Southwest United States. He credits his 7 year musical experience as the genesis for his desire to travel internationally.
He spends his workday collaborating with creatives and executives in the content creation industry, including media, TV, sports, social media, and more, as part of a tech company. His role focuses on building strategic partnerships and driving growth within this dynamic sector.

Maximille Gonzales
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS & COMMUNICATIONS / CO-HOST
Max is a freelance photographer, tour leader, travel addict, adventure enthusiast, and wildlife and nature advocate from Richmond, California.
Early on, Max spent most of his time camping and playing sports which grew his passion for nature and the outdoors. After graduating from the University of California Santa Cruz, his love for travel ignited further when he began backpacking internationally. In a short amount of time, Max backpacked to more than 30 countries and counting.
Currently, Max is living in Northern California where he bounces between his photography business, leading tours to US National Parks, strengthening his sea legs as he works on boats and shares stories of exploration with The Globetrotters Podcast.

Chelsea is a group travel planner and guide, who is dedicated to exploring new parts of the world and connecting with like-minded adventurers. While travel has always been her favorite hobby, it wasn't until the pandemic when she was laid off of work for four months and in the middle of a divorce that she began her own journey of self discovery. She created her own group travel tours and has taken women to Zion, Thailand, and Acadia.
She believes in building a community where travel becomes more than just visiting new places - it's about discovering new parts of yourself along the journey. From the sea to the desert, her passion to share experiences that deepen connection to the world and those around her cannot be tamed.
When she isn't somewhere else, you can find Chels taking long walks on the beach with her pup, or paddleboarding Lake Ontario.
